About

About Amna

Palestinian cooking is a vibrant tapestry of flavours and history, blending aromatic spices, fresh herbs, and hearty ingredients that have been cherished for centuries. It is deeply rooted in the region's rich cultural and agricultural heritage and each bite is a testament to the long-standing traditions passed down through generations, offering a taste of the land and the warm, communal spirit of Palestinian hospitality.

Amna is from Gaza and worked as a mental health professor in Palestine for 20 years. Along with her academic journey she discovered how important healthy eating is to living a happier life. Healthy eating lifts a persons dopamine and endorphin hormones and improves immune system. After graduating from My Grateful Cookery School as a chef trainer, Amna started this journey turning her attention to healthy cooking. Amna always says ‘I believe you are what you eat and if you eat a healthy balanced diet you will live a happier healthier life’

Amna warmly remember’s her mother’s cooking and how much joy it gave her to eat it. She cooks her favourite Palestinian dishes with love, curating and adapting them to make healthier and balanced delicious meals.
